Innovation in recycling
January 9th 2009 23:30
Welcome to our guide to correct procedures for discarding recyclable containers. Today we will look specifically at cleaning containers before disposal.
Cleaning containers before placing them in the recycle bin is both a courtesy and a practical help for the collecting agency. Many local authorities will recommend a rinse in the washing-up water after doing the dishes, a good way to save water at the same time.
This, however, gives only a moderate clean. In our house, we have installed two cleaning units which can make a dirty container spotless within minutes. The units are equipped with long, sensitive tongues to reach the bottoms of even the deepest containers.
These versatile units, which can be folded and stored in the corner of your sofa, are available from a Greyhound Adoption Program near you.

not wear out and do not need replacing.
