3. Scratchy's version of an unexpected snack

No idea what Short Black was doing awake at that hour, but I heard her calling me to come help with something she had cornered in the conservatory. She sounded slightly frantic, so out I went to help.
Note to self: next time you catch a rat, bite in half before swallowing.
There was an amusing follow-up in the form of a long-winded theory by Big Boss about why Daisy was barking. Little Boss just laughed at him, but it's extraordinary how right he was.
