Scratchy's diary: Plugging plonk

You won't believe this, but the Big Boss has just launched a blog about wine.

He says this is a business blog as opposed to a personal blog, and if you insist you can see it here, but I'd prefer you didn't go have a look. It will only encourage him to spend more time blogging about wine and less time about Short Black and me. Won't it, Short Black?

Where's the new dog? Oh, blog. I thought you said dog.

Silly Short Black. Anyway, in planning opening promotions for his new blog, I heard Big Boss on the phone to his business partner suggesting they organise a photo shoot.

"What we need," I heard him say, "is a long, slim, leggy supermodel." So I immediately volunteered.

I make a great supermodel, don't you think?

You have to stand around forever though. It gets tiring.

Poor Scratchy! It looks really boring. Maybe you can get Big Boss to let you lay (lie?) down while posing, with the bottle between your front legs? I'd pose that way if I could lay (lie?) on my side. Zeus

Ananka says thank you, Chris. She twitched her ears when I told her what you wrote. Pharaoh Hounds have very mobile ears. It's in the breed standard. Of course Ananka doesn't use her ears that well in the show ring, that's why she never beat her sister who was showing at the same time.
Ananka uses her ears when she wants to, not when we want her to.

We've had dogs who love pruning, mulching, composting. Ridding the garden of pests is always popular - that pose of Ananka is her in 'sparrow watch' mode. I think she may have heard sparrows aren't allowed somewhere, but she doesn't realise the 'somewhere' is Western Australia, not South Australia.

If they change the rules, she'll be ready!

Greyhounds are excellent at trenching, you could plant a fully grown tree in some of the excavations Heidi and Clyde created in our lawn before we persuaded them to dig in their own patch, it was their dust bowl before this week,but we've had such good opening rains we are going to have to re name it the mud bath!
