A sniff in time finds toddler Natalie
July 11th 2009 02:17
Natalie Jasmer, aged 2, of Pennsylvania, is one of the world's better exponents of the game of hide and seek. When playing this week her siblings searched in vain for so long that they got worried and called their parents.
Their parents searched everywhere but couldn't find Natalie so they called the police.
The police searched everywhere but couldn't find Natalie so they called the fire brigade.
The fire brigade searched everywhere but couldn't find Natalie so they gathered round with Natalie's siblings and parents and the police and a growing crowd of friends and concerned citizens, and they all said "we give up".
That's when the family dog, named Copper, got tired of all the carry-on. She lifted her nose and took a big sniff and then strolled over to the washing machine. It had a nice big drawer under it, and in the drawer they found Natalie, having a lovely sleep.

We used to play hide-and-seek with our dogs. They were (of course!) always the seekers

Hi Carolyn, yes it's a sweet story isn't i? And definitely better than some of those horrible stories we've heard lately.

The sight hounds seem to be very distractable. I've found the schnauzers focus on me much better. Schnauzers want to do what you want them to do, PH want to do what they want to do. Pharaoh hounds are about as obedient as the average cat.
Loving and fun jokesters too though.
